Personal Checks
- Take 3-10 days or more to reach you; assuming the buyer sends
it immediately after the auction ends.
- Cost the buyer an extra $0.27.
- Take a long time to clear (although this is
faster than it used to be).
- Sometimes bounce; which may cost the seller a returned check
fee.
- Drag out the time between when the auction ends and the buyer
receives their item.
- Require systems (or a memory) that can track items for 3-6
weeks and remind you when something gets off track.
- Arrive with no information about which auction the check is
for and/or no information about the buyers Ebay User ID; leaving
the seller to find a way to connect the two.
